I finally got my Dakota Digital Oil and CHT gauges working properly. The gauge allow the use to set warning levels, where I the gauges will start blinking. A what Temp F degrees should I set the warning for each one?
The Oil temp gauge needed to be setup for a 400 F degree sensor vs a 300 degree. The CHT gauge instruction diagram was misleading. It shows the long lead of the wire connect to the short leads of the thermo-probe. However that is not correct. The red lead hooks to the short lead of the thermo-probe. Which is was actually long lead to long lead. See diagram below. Once I switch red to wire to short lead on the probe it starting working. The red wire was the short wire not the long wire as shown in the diagram.
Thanks Bobby...Hopefully the correct the instructions to read better. I have found that they are very helpful when you have a problem. It would be nice if they set up the gauges for you though....Bruce
