Is leaking almost everytime i drive the car now.  I have cardboard underneath it and get 5-10 drips. Motor only has 370 miles on it.  Talked to Roland Radcon and he said engine still needs to break in and said to turn the filler neck so the breather hose nipple faces up to keep it from escape.  Has anyone done this?  I have not tried yet or looked at it but in my little pea brain I am thinking how would i be able to turn that section of the filler neck if it is already tight?  I understand why as my last speedster had the breather hose turned up so the oil would have a more difficult time escaping...

Thoughts?  Clear as mud??

the motor should be briken in by now unless you put synthetic oil in it right off the bat. yes turning the filler up will stop it from driping, I doubt he used total seal rings in it they seal real well for a very long time. as for the neck it may have a gasket ,but I replace the gasket with a big "O" ring.are the valve covers vented? it may need extra venting, a small vent hose will push oil up through it where as a big one will not, or 3 smaller ones usualy wont. I use 2 , 1/2" vents coming off the valve cover tops going up to vent filters. I have the angled filler neck, much easyer to fill.

well that old berg unit is pricey & not a good idea to interduce oil mist/fumes into the combustion chambers, I just finished a motor with that on it, it still has a single hose.I wasent impressed with it.neither was the owner as it had to have some mods done to it befor it would work on his bus,I dont know why I didnt do that part.& just vent off my valve covers.yes the oring may let you turn it farther, or you may put a 45 or 90 degree fitting in it aimed up, it,s just 1/4 pipe thread.brass, stainless steel aluminum or even plastic fitting,( I have plastic fittings in my valve covers) the mettell ones you can drill out farther so they have less restriction, mine are 3/8 pipe so there biger any way& I have 2 of them.

So my oil filler neck had a bend in it probably 45 degree angle.  There would be mo way to turn it so the hose nipple is facing up because the oil filler cap would then be facing the back seat!  Does anyone know where to pick up a threaded nipple for the hose that has maybe a 90 degree bend in it?  Lowes?  Is it a normal piece?  I guess the inly other thing is to buy a straigjt filler neck which i dont want to do...
