Felix, the orientation of the fins has no appreciable affect on cooling.. Heat radiates out towards the end of the fins and air flow, regardless of orientation, dissapates the heat.

Almost all of your oil cooling comes via the oil cooler and if you have an external oil cooler that too provides a majority of heat dissapation.

Felix---you have a fine car and I hope you will reconsider driving with us to Carlisle. You won't be alone except for meeting up with me then we drive to Knoxville and stay over there. We usually get dinner with John Hallstrand then a shortish caravan with John to Christiansburg where we meet up with 4-5 additional drivers and stay over---and the next day to Carlisle stopping for lunch and meeting up with 4-5 more cars. Some of these guys are great mechanics too and that adds a little comfort.

It will be a great trip---maybe you can make it.

A shorter one would be "Tail Of The Dragon" in the Fall and that is a hoot. Look at last year's T.O.D. under "Events".

The trips and meeting up with other Speedster club folks is the best part for me and I look forward to these all year----you would too.
