Ok, seen them all I think. Most seem like the Chinese castings within a few dollars of one another. The Jaycee stuff always looks great (like implants) but I'm wondering if there's much of a difference in function -or paying for pretty. But, like implants, I do like the look. Add in Aircooled.net who has what looks like the same basic adapter (at twice the price) and highly suggests a re-tap and re-surface for $15 extra. At that rate, for $20 I can just get the Jaycee. I like the guy at Aircooled but wondering...  It is the oiling system after all.

The function is the same for any and all filter adapters so you'll just be paying for more convenient mounting positions or something prettier.

On top of that, it will be mounted waaaaay up in there and almost un-see-able from outside or under the car so why spring more bucks for pretty?

Just get a universal adapter from NAPA or CIP1 or SoCal that fits where you want to mount it and get it in there.....

I had a SoCal part that worked well for a few years til I re-arranged my hoses and it no longer "fit" so I dashed off to NAPA and got one of theirs which fit.  Mine is mounted to the inside of the body frame somewhere near the driver's side valve cover, but far enough out of the way to not interfere when checking the valves.  It's up high enough that the filter can isn't sticking down in the way, looking to get hit.  Just use some sense putting it in and keep it safe.

I have installed standard cast alum ones for years, the JC unit is very nice and they are good people to work with. The best one I used is the setab. This unit allows one to mount it in a variety of positions. Their 45 and 90 degree fittings are great because they can rotate and have adapters to run a temp sensor or thermostat to operate a fan
