oil filter retrofit

What was your conclusion?

Price was too high if this was not an effective filtering option.  Yes, I wanted my car to look more authentic, but not at the sacrifice of performance.  And I agree with another point:  I have the option to customize my car without loosing value to purity.

So I think instead of the correct looking oil filter, I'm now going to use the money to get more engine HP.  It's a hobby, why not tinker?

Didn't someone on this site, put one on………just for looks & kept a spare key in there?

I looked at adding one for cosmetic purposes and then asked myself what the heck I was thinking. The original canisters and the mounting brackets that I saw on the Samba were stupid expensive. I was going to wrap up some go bag tools and a spare key in some shop rags so they wouldn't rattle around and use the canister as a mini tool box.

I.ve abandoned that idea along with a few others. I just want to drive the car.

Thanks, Bob. I have one and I'm thinking I should sell it as I'll never use it. I also have a 356 generator and fan/shroud. On the web it's going....
