I just thought someone might be interested in a fix for oil leaks at the rubber axle boots. First we jacked up one side of the car and put it on jack stands. Next we loosened the small end of the boot and pushed it well back out of the way. We then used carb cleaner and cleaned off all the old oil and grease from the axle and boot. Then we made a gasket out of Black Ultra Silicone around the axle where the boot will fit. Let it sit overnight on the jack stands so the oil won't run out and the silicone can harden. Next day put the boot back in position and clamp down around the new gasket. Do the other side the same way. I have not had one drop of oil leak out and it's been a month now.
