I just got a new temp sending unit that has the threaded hole in the side so you can add a pressure gauge. Has anyone added a gauge in the engine compartment? I really don't want to add a gauge up under the dash (ugly) although it would be nice to be able to see it all the time.
Also my nephew knows the people that make the fuel filters for nascar, so he got me a billet fuel filter. The problem is it takes a 3/8" hose and the speedster has 1/4" hose. Can I use a 1" piece of 3/8" hose on each side of the filter then reduce it back to 1/4" using a brass sleeve? Or should I go from 1/4" to 3/8" on the incoming side of the filter and then go 3/8" from the outgoing side of the filter to the fuel pump and carburators?
Thank's for any help.
Eddie

Eddie, in ref. to the fuel filter the less "connections" the less chance of trouble/leaks. Try and
eliminate/limit hose clamp connections. In ref to your engine compartment psi gauge=why.
Again, a source of leakage/trouble when you're rolling down the road. It has a super limited use and is more trouble than it's worth. These motors can have a very high psi when cold.
remember all the talk about oil filters splitting and "blowing open" .
Plug it and drive.
