Vince,

I've used "GUNK" in years past, works pretty well. Another technique that seems to also work is using cat litter, pour some over the spots, get a short piece of 2X4 wood and rub the cat litter in. It works amazing well. Also use the old style clay based litter. Don't know if the new clumping stuff works. Clay litter is cheaper anyway.

see 'ya at Knotts in a few days.

and the little bits and pieces in the kitty litter act as
scrubbers aiding in stain removal.
just kidding it works great. second phase would be to soak the areas with dawn [dish washing soap] followed by scrub/washdown.
bruce
by the way, a plumbers pipes always leak, are you a car mechanic?
I have really good luck with kitty litter first, put it down and dance on it. I like "The Twist" 'cause it sort of helps grind the litter into the oil/stain.

Then sweep it up and spray the stain down with Simple Green, or Orange Clean, or the Walmart equivalent. Then dance some more to scour the stain.

Then hose it down and let it dry.

Really works pretty well, and you get a good workout in the process. Do it with your wife/girlfriend/whatever and it's even MORE fun.

"Come on let's twist again, like we did last Summer. . ."

The warm weather has found New England, finally!

Hi Ron,

Give a week or so and I'll shoot some pics of us and our cars and fire off an explaination. A couple of us ARE a bit FAR right of normal and a couple more of us are so far to the left of center that we have slipped around to the back. The pics will help explain.

Hope that you're enjoying the Spring as much as we are in New England, it might reach 70 degrees tomorrow (Monday). Time to break out the cars and saddle up!

Ron,

Slightly off post, but the last time someone was dancing on my pants, there was something dancing IN my pants. I was sitting down, it was about five in the morning, we all were enjoying "legs and eggs" in Providence RI strip club and were on our way to Carlisle for the Kit Car/Import show and swap meet.

It was two years or so ago, but I sure that our "waitress" was Colleen. . . . it's ALL coming back to me . . .

Who's going down this year? We're still bouncing it around, but I think that we may save it up for The Roadster Factory Picnic since it included drag racing as well as three days of swap/concours/food and fun.

Hey gang,

Bruce, I think that Carlisle is off in favor of The Roadster Factory. Todd wants to sell off his hoard of MGB stuff and figures that he'll do better with private sales and deliverys at TRF rather than tables at Carlisle.

YES!! Mr. Runyon is still at the helm as far as I know, but his own hoard must be running low at this point. I guess that when he hooked up with British Heritage (?) for the new stampings (from original dies) of all of the body panels and complete shells, that he was able to keep everything going and prospering. They also seem to have a nice rebuilt engine/rear end/trans operation going along with all of the usual tasty trim pieces. We all run (or have run) TR8s which are ignored by everyone, including TRF for the most part, but the drags are fun anyway, as is the ride down.

Amah PA., Stewart's home town, I believe. I saw the statue anyway.

I have a couple of videos that I got of previous TRF picnics, Charles had them produced by a pro outfit. They're really pretty good. Since he no longer offers them for sale, I doubt that it would be against any laws or kill any goodwill if I made a copy or two for anyone interested. I've gotta dupe King of the Mountain anyway, may as well plug in a few more tapes . . . if anyone wants to remember the TRF fondly.

Now I'm really starting to look forward to the warmer weather.
