Oil temp sender - Where does it go?

I'm installing the senders for my gauge kit and I need to know where this sender mounts. Or if I have to drill and tap, where is the best location.

Uh, which gauge? For temperature, it depends on the sender, there are several different types - I'm using the VDO temp sender that replaces the dipstick. For oil pressure, get the dual VDO sender that has terminals for both the idiot light and an oil pressure gauge (it replaces the standard sender near the distributor).

I have a set of Classic Instruments gauges. The Temp sendor has a 1/8-npt thread with a metric adapter.


I just checked their web site and the sendor goes inplace of the pressure relief plug.
