We've all seen this one, but I don't recall seeing this many pictures of it all in one place before. If this is just a cheesy re-post of what was already posted, then please delete it ASAP.

Otherwise . . . Mickey, take a good look at the interior details. You're gonna want nearly every one in your car. I KNOW that I do !!

For me, that car is absolute perfection, I just like to stare at the pics and soak up the details. I remember reading a post somewhere that the "diamond plate" on the floor was really rubber matting. The trimming and fit (with a little lifting as well) in the forward foot wells, would seem to bear this out. If true, let's find some and split a roll. I've found it before in black colored cross-hatch and in alloy colored standard diamond plate, but never what I see in that car.

This bears looking into, but just WHAT the bear was looking into . . . he could not, or would not say.

I'll go see if they have anymore where I got mine, Lowes. I did my entire L-shape desk top in my office at the diner in that crosshatch diamond plate stuff. It came in adhesive backed rolls of something like 20" x 6'. I think I paid $20 a roll for it.

I have always LOVED this car! It's still a 356 but soooooooo different in every way. You're right TC, I want it all!!!!!!!

Cory,
Ironically I was just discussing the Dzus fastners today. I don't want to spoil any surprises but I installed a pair of somethings on the hood of my car from a certain someone in Colorado (they look fantastic I may add). Anyway, I was considering what to do for the rear lid. I currently have it essentially "hooked" under in the forward area using the hinges and latched using the normal latching mechanism. I ran a split length of hose around the engine compartment opening and with that it sits nice and snug. It seems to be holding up well but there is something nagging me about it flying off if I hit a bump or something. So I want to secure it better but I'm not sure how. The pics Paul Rich posted of the drilled out generator show a kinda ol skool latch used, but I really do like the Dzus'.
Ya know, I'm also diggin that fuel filler off to the side. I could do mine that way and not have to worry about all the plumbing.
I haven't even started driving my car this year yet and I'm already starting the list for next winter. I have problems.

On that note - My buddy called me today and said he's got all the wiring sorted out. I just have to tidy things up under the dash but I'll hold off on that until I'm sure we don't have to go back in. Hopefully I'll be out on the road this weekend! It's supposed to be in the low 70's saturday and 60's on sunday!!!!
