After lots of time (and money) spent, and a fair amount of blood, sweat and tears (all 3 were shed, but not necessarily in that order), my car was finally registered as UK road legal today.

I'd like to say a quick thanks to all on this site who've provided help and advice, and everyone on the site for keeping it going and make it such a valuable source of information and chat. Special thanks to Simon Hambly (Shambly) who's given me lots of assistance over the past few months.

I'd also like to thank everyone I met at Knotts for such a warm welcome. But the biggest (and last!) thank you must go to my chief mechanic (and dad) who passed away shortly before the car was finished - I wish he could be around to see it.

It's great to be on the road - and finally be a speedster owner rather than speedster builder (my club badge will be going on over the weekend!)

Cheers Jon!

I think everyone on this website has experienced similar gratification from new ownership of a Speedy, and even more so from completion of a self-build project.

With the history of the build of your car (you & your dad), think of each mile your Speedy travels down the road as a rolling memorial of your dad's contribution both as your father and chief mechanic!

Enjoy the Drive!

Peace - Out!
