I have read most of the posts regarding CMC butt sags. (In fact copy/pasted to a folder on my hard drive).

My drivers side left rear panel at the wheel center is lower to the ground by 3/4" (ground to top of the wheel well) than the passengers side. The drivers door at the top of the door/body joint is about 3/8" wider than at the bottom. The passengers side door body joint is perfect (equal top to bottom). Also the drivers door doesn't close easy, due to this, like the passenger side.

So do I or can I, do a one half sag repair.  What is the recommendation from those of you have done this surgery?

On page V-4 and V-5 I see reference to lower front body support and top body support, looks like angle iron that is bolt on top of the front beam. As you can see there is nothing like that bolted to the top of my front beam.

I ASSUME THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM?

There is 11,000 miles on this car, how come nothing has gone wrong. What should I have noticed in driving this car? I have put less than 100 miles on it.

Finally.....  This is what I made to act as the front support....  On top of the beam risers are tapped holes....I fitted these with all-thread rod stock....  The rod stock passes through  two pieces of pipe.(the short piece slips in to make installation simpler)   The flat bar on top is 1.25W. by .188Thk. with two pieces of .125 rubber on top to cushion the fiberglass...

When installing, the all thread passes through a hole in the trunk, the rubber, the steel flat bar, the pipe sections, various flat fender washers to spread the load, and then threads into the risers....   Hope this helps....

With out this support strange things can happen to door gaps and such...usually the gap at the bottom of the door....

Thanks, sounds like I can handle this.  What size is the rod stock?, must be metric?

And you do both beam holes with one long piece of bar stock, or each hole a separate but same process, (I can not tell from the pic)

Would a matching piece of bar stock in the trunk side help with the load? Or fender washers suffice?

Thanks for the help, and the quick of thought to have me check this!

That front support holds up the entire font of the car that is not supported by the cross-member behind the dash and the front bulkhead (firewall).  Little wonder a lot of CMC's get stress fractures near the headlights and have issues at the tops of the door openings.

Put in a front brace THEN do the butt sag remedy.  Your right side may be fine, but drill out the rivets (one at a time) and replace with bolts AND some Loctite construction adhesive and you'll be good for coming centuries.
