Here's a good buy for someone. Built in 2006, 2.0 227hp WRX engine. Only the 3rd SAS I've ever seen for resale, a very desirable car.

Wasn't that at Carlisle for a couple of years? If it's the one I remember, it had a turbo and was way more than a little quick. That green metallic paint was stunning, too.
Yep, that's the one. Very nice car, although I'd dress it up with badges and scripts
Yes, I love that car. It was at Carlisle in 2009 , it was owned by Rob Young (I think)
Where does SAS put the rad?
Ron, mine is located in the passenger side rear wheel well behind the splash shield. It works fine but due to the angle it is mounted once a season I have to get in there with a vacuum to clean out road debris, leaves etc.
Another good spot for a rad might be above the tranny between the firewall and the back of the rear seat area. A couple of custom built smaller rads in series would fit nicely and be out of harms way. There's quite a bit of air movement up in there which I discovered after putting my heater core there. Plenty of high pressure air it seems and even without my heater fan running it pushes a good bit of air into the cabin through the heater outlets in the bulkheads beside the door jambs. It still pushes well into the cabin with the top up and side windows on.
I considered putting my Setrab oil cooler/fan up there, but my kafer bar takes up a lot of valuable space.
I wonder why SAS doesn't put the rad in the front and run lines to the engine?
Probably because they know something we don't. I put my rad up front because it looked like it may work. It did....and I'm ok with that. I'm still learning ( and happy to be doing it again ) about modifying cars. I'll be doing a detailed research on Soob cooling systems this year at Carlisle. The plan is to put a new CCR engine in mine this coming winter.
You're right guys, it was quick, but at 2387 pounds, there was quite a bit of heft to push with that turbo power. Ask Wild Bill, he knows what I am talking about(a certian I-81 on-ramp). Just saying.....
Don't want this to sound like a diss, because it is/was a gorgeous car, and is most probably a very good deal for someone to pick up.
Oh yeah! Friday nite leaving the All-American! Took off like I was standing still. I was this close to mushrooming another pushrod trying to keep up!
Yes Danny, 2387 pounds is a heavyweight among our cars but it is a few hundred less than the car it came out of. I drove the car in TN when it was new and it was more power than I would need. That drive was before it was tweaked.
DADDY WANTS!!!
John, I agree, it is a really nice car. I am just saying WB and I know what's what. To increase speed, add lightness(Colin Chapman). And that was after it was "tweaked".
