Assume the single picture tells the tale. Cosmetic damage.

Assume the replacement of the whole bumper and mounting system to be safe. Vintage package for everything is between $450 - $500.

Assume returning the body to same condition as the rest of the car. (Very Good)

Assume it is the right time to repair the balance of the stone chips as well before the paint goes on. I understand there are a few, but not serious.

Looks like two thru and thru cracks, one at the bracket, one outboard from there.

Any of you body and fender guys want to proffer a guess at the cost to repair this and return it to Very Good condition?

I am not in possession of the car, but believe the picture tells the story.

Thanks in advance.

Darn, too bad you're so far away. Forgetting fixing the road chips in the paint and just dealing with the pictured damage. That's about one hour and a cold drink as payment away from being perfect again. Nothing going on there at all, seriously.

Whadcha do? Run over a midget in chainmail . . . ?
Properly done, you need to grind the glass up through the length of the crack including the portion that is still hidden under the paint. That's the part that pops out later... Glass it back, reinforce bigger than the original break to ensure long term strength, bodywork, paint it, etc. Replace the bumper bits.

Steve does 'glass work for people here and there (for at least the last 20 years) and I don't picture him doing something like that for less than about $400 to $500 just for the labor... Be careful of shoddy body work. Some places just want to bondo over the crack.
