As meticulously well prepared as the rest of your Green Machine appears to be, I would say match the primary color of your interior's leather pieces.
A tan shroud would be killer if you have tan upholstry; interior colors are usually chosen to offset or compliment the paint color, right?
Just a thought.
I sprayed mine to match my chassis.
Yellow and you could have done some promotional ad work for the Oakland A's... a thousand years ago an Oakland Raiders PR guy (or wanna be) did a photo shoot of my roadster and the turbo. I got paid $1000. The cars were silver and black and the guy thought it'd be fun to get some known faces into and around the cars during the daze of the Silver & Black Attack.
Never came to anything, but I got some tickets and the walking around money.
Day late and dollar short: My vote would have been, and indeed is still for my car: the OEM light gray thing. The yellow sounded pretty cool, I'll admit. And remember, this is second tier stuff we're talking about here. One does not run around w/ the bonnet up, I am thinking. Unless one is called Hoopty, in which case just about anything could happen. Still, it is nice to look in there from time to time, and may as well have it look nice. The practical aspect here would be to have a color upon which any leak would be seen right away -- thus putting black or other dark color at a disadvantage. Just 2 cents worth. So there it is: a dollar short and $0.02 in; still $0.98 down . . .
