Henry offered these Beehives to save me some money. I would do the front turn signals to match. If I do the originals he buys the NLA Porsche part and re-guts it. Lucas saves me almost 300 clams. What do you think? I already told my kid he is going to community college or if all else fails we can open a strip joint.

I'm not too sure those look right. Maybe I'm stuck in a paradigm that they should be pointed instead of round -- but I don't like the way the outer ones look like a pair of turned-over teacups pointing laterally.

I think I'd opt for the couple extra bucks for the OEM glass lenses and the right bezels, if you have it to spend. If not, you could sell some plasma -- or maybe a kidney.

Is there a pointed, glass option for Lucas front marker lights? Maybe you could get Ghia front turn signals like I have and dye or paint them red with a stained-glass coloring product?

Paul Rich said his much more shallow Beehive lights have a tendency to deform a little -- based on what he showed me on his car, I can see why. If you can get glass lenses of some sort you'll probably be in better shape than he is.

I saw Paul's point -- the bulb in the conical fixtures he has has no breathing room. It's situated literally right behind the plastic, and if you drive with your running lights on for any length of time you'll have the same problem as he does (if you went with plastic).

Perhaps putting the socket in deeper, kind of frenching it into the body a bit, would help. If plastic-lensed Chinese repros are your least-expensive option, now would absolutely be the time to ask if Henry could braise a little more tubing into the housings, so the sockets all sit a little further behind the fiberglass.
