Optimistic tachometer?
Former Member
My tach in my 2001 V.S. seems to be indicating about 500 rpm too high at idle and the variance seems to get larger as the revs increase. Also at idle the tach varies up and down about 200 rpm. Any ideas?

Dan, My new (2 months old) VS came with a tach that acted exactly like yours. I called VS and they sent me a new one. Works real well and not a big deal to install. Make sure you get both mounting brackets on securely. They are the ground for the light system! Gary Turner
