You may not know it, but about 30% of a 1970's Porsche 924 is really a VW Super Beetle underneath. I'm trying to part one out before it heads to the crusher next week, and I may be able to get the Aluminum wheels.

They are a 4X130 bolt pattern (same pattern as a VW and many Speedster Replicas). They are ORIGINAL Porsche Forged rims and they currently have 195/65/15 tires mounted (the tires are junk and will be removed), so I assume that they're 5.5" wide. They are in surprisingly good shape (this is a Southern, no-rust car from Savannah) and only need a good cleaning and clear-coat to look like new again. All of them have the Porsche crest center caps, which are mint, too. No dings or buffs.

They look like this:

I'll probably be looking at $100 each, plus shipping to the lower 48.

Would anyone be interested?

I think these would look great on some Speedsters and should fit nicely under a non-flared, "classic" body. Good ones are also getting rare as hen's teeth. I would use them on my new build, but I need wider, 16" rims (already in the works).

Nah . . .

He posted that, "They look like this:"

"LIKE" being the operative word here.

Lets say that they have not five, but just four little holes, now imagine them NOT being 4x108, then picture them as 4x130, lastly, feature them on a Speedster and you got the whole thing down pat.
Will:

Astute observation. Those pictured before are the same look, but have a 5X130 pattern.

THIS is the correct look and have a 4-bolt pattern:

I'll be amazed if they're 4X100 - that sounds like a Fiat pattern (or a Yugo - lol!) so I'll take along an old drum and see if they fit before I spring for 'em.

Still......Anyone interested???
those 4 lug 924 rims won't work. those are nice rims though...they call them spiders and were made by ATS. I've had a couple of 924's and VW beetles and once I did try to see if the porsche rims would work...I think the pattern is VW golf or something. I've got an old 924 carrera GT that I''m restoring (slowly) with 5 lugs. poor 924 is the rodney dangerfield of porsches.
actually, for the 4 lug, rear drum brake 924 you can just swap the rear brake drums with those of a beetle. everything else is the same brake shoes, wheel cylinders. heck, up to through the 944 they used a vw beetle torsion tube, bananna arms. infact that is why putting 944 rear discs on a vw isn't such a big deal.
