Does anyone could confirm me if Speedster replicas have a wider body rear end than the original Speedster ?

The standard replica Speedster body is the same - it was "flashed" years ago from a real speedster. Many even show a repaired damaged front fender (ripples). Now there are flared and ulta flared versions that have a wider body shell. Or do you mean wheel track? Here's quick check which shows rear different is about .7" or 18 mm -
Track front/rear
VW - 51/49.3 in or 1,295/1,252 mm (That's swing axle; 1971-77 IRS was 53.1" so few inches wider)
Real Speedster - 51.4/50 or 1306/1270mm
... so it IS different.
.7" in the rear, and .4" in the front. Your local PCA guy and the "gas-station know-it-all" can see there's something "off". Keen eyes, they have.
I was talking about the shape/curve of the bodywork, not about the track. It must be a visual impression, perhaps because the bumpers are thicker on the orginal, so the body seems narrower.
Also replicas seem to fit low profile wider tires which may make the rear look narrower (original ones used 165/80x15 - I use a 185/65x15 which drops rear of car 1/2"). I have a std body CMC with '71 IRS rear (called long axle) - the ~3" extra rear track plus the fact that CMC's have tighter clearance on driver's (Left) side make using Porsche 914 alloy 5.5" wheels very tight. Even after sanding lip and inner fiberglass - I can barely get a little pinky finger (less than 1/2") in there.
