Orphan Car show came off pretty well on Sunday. Beautiful weather, 2 blocks from the ocean. About 65 cars in attendence. Funny part was that the show was on a public street, with no traffic restrictions. So all morning numerous Ferraris, Aston convertibles, Bentley Sport Coupes and more new Porsches than one could count were parading past, trying to be seen and styling. They were NOT invited and were excluded from the show. I thought that was pretty funny, cause there sure wern't many parking places left for spectators to park. Women's wear varied from A (Armani) to B (scuzzy blue jeans). Sorry, no pix.

JPS back motor Subie Coupe looks really sweet. It's the same coupe that showed at the last Knott's show. Then it had an all electric power powerplant. John is real excited about Subie power and the ease of installation. I'm looking for an option to show up real soon.

Thunder Ranch had three customer speedsters present.

Perry Designs was represented by a panbased Spyder with a 2.7 liter type 4 that the owner used for drag racing and street use. He was claiming 10 second quarter miles.

My favortite was Steve Chadwick's Cheetah replica of the Cro-Sal special that ate up the Cobras on the SCCA circuit in the 60s. Now powered by a 358 Chevy and C4/C5 suspension. To prove it's good taste - It has a speedster windshield partialy buried into the front cowl.
