In ref to the "Corvair Pulley" fan belt. I drove a Corvair over 250,000 miles. Early on, I blew the fan belt off twice - within five minutes of each other - coming DOWN a mountain at 90 MPH. Switched to a Gates "cogged tooth" belt. Never ever had another problem after that.
Twin plug, big bore TIV engines rock.. My record is 283HP N/A on pump gas from a 3 liter TIV twin plug with EFI.. I did that back in 2008.
See the July 2000 VW Trends for a story on my first twin plug TIV.. It took me the better part of a decade of development to optimize head preparation, plug placement and camshaft optimization.. The design of the engine is critical to the efectiveness of a twin plug arrangement.
