What does that translate to regarding performance / driving style etc?

"At this stage, which other builders should I contact? JPS?"
baaawaaaa, you got me really chuckling on that one I'm sure you have read on that vendor on this site.
Transaxel choices vary a lot.... It depends what style of driving you want to do. I used to have a 3:44 and it was a nice highway cruiser. Some go for a 5 speed even
Ray, chuckles on me! : ) Im reading all over the place. Im like a sponge.
Im going to drive this car pretty actively. Spirited cruising? I want something that is really lively. Like the first 40 seconds on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0F8K6S447A or like her https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=82NNlFTbwbs (not that much driving, but lots of italian spirit
Maybe a "streetable race car" is the right term.
I drove Tom's car with the 2054 and Rancho before he went Subaru and it was very quick and responsive.
I hear the coffee is quite good in Oslo... a friends daughter goes to Univ there and is a barista in a coffee shop that the crown prince visits.

Can confirm. That motor and trans combo is quick...
"I drove Tom's car with the 2054 and Rancho before he went Subaru and it was veryquick and responsive." Much more responsive now with the Subie.

Yep, we like our coffee and IPAs : ) Some of my colleges bring their own aeropresses and hand grinders to work for mid day brewing sessions. Had a couple of world barista champions as well.

Nice! Had a chat with Pat Downs yesterday. What a cool cat that is. Explaining what i wanted, driving style etc., he mentioned a 2110cc engine he built for a Teby (TEBY S?) with great success and thought I should have something like that. Told me he matched it with a Pro street 3.88 ring and pinion (more to learn). He mentioned all the gear ratios but i didn´t take notes..

Those of us here in the Central Valley have it made with Pat Downs in our own backyard. Pat built Teby's car, (Teby S here on the SOC), and the car hauls a$$. The engine and transmission combo are dynamite. Did I already say the car hauls a$$?
Get a roller minus the engine and transmission and have PD build the power plant.

Thanks Robert! How should the sequence of events be laid out here?
A
1) Pan based builder does everything sans engine and transmission
2) Ship the roller to PD who installs the built engine, engine components and transmission. Car finished.
or B
Or have PD ship the engine to the pan based builder who assembles everything.

The most likely is Plan B.
Pat is an engine builder and not a car builder. I'm sure he has the skills but that's not what he does for a living.
