Had a fender bender this morning. Some jerk blew a red light and cars in front of me slammed on their brakes faster than I could. Makes me wish I had waited one more year so that Steve at SAS could have put the first set of power brakes in my car. Oh well $hit happens, at least no one got hurt and it should buff out. BTW Gerd, clutched the steering wheel is what I did when I saw I couldn't stop in time

DAMN! What a bummer, Nolan. Hope you didn't bang your bad wheel (ankle) or get hurt otherwise. Regardless, its a shame that beautiful car of yours got damaged.
Thanks Jimbo, leg's ok, since I don't have clutch, I didn't have to use both legs. I just needed another 6 inches (leave it alone Vince) to stop and I'd been better off.
Ouch is right! Glad you're not hurt but it's a damn shame. I hope there's no frame damage.
Just damn, Nolan. That ain't gonna buff out either! Glad you are ok and that it wasn't worse.
Get that baby fixed in time for Carlisle and San Louis Obispo next spring!
I am sorry to hear of this of course, but the main thing is that you are alright.....
I assume you have a glass guy in mind to fix the damage, taking it back to Steve may put you out of commission for a long while...
Nolan, the fender/lid alignment looks fine...but is there compression damage screwing up the fender/door alignment?
Sorry to see that Nolan, makes my fender ding from a shopping cart on my GTI last weekend look minor...sorry, really. And you just had it painted last year too, right?
Nolan, I'm really sorry to hear about your accident. It's something we all think about and I have a good idea how you're feeling right now.
Look at the positives-you didn't get hurt and it can be fixed.
Remember, I got my car when it looked like this:
Damn Nolan..... Glad you are OK.... After this, you should have pretty good "Glass Skills".... Just a bigger version of the wheel well repair....
Tough break, but glad to hear you weren't hurt.
Whoa, Nolan, bad break there buddy. I'm glad to hear that nobody got hurt and for sure the car can be fixed. I'd like to see "da Killer" to get his gloves on the jerk who caused the accident.
Glad to hear you're okay, Nolan. Sorry about the car. I went through a similar situation about three years ago, although compared to yours, it was merely a "scratch." Vintage Spyders ended up having to paint and seal-coat the whole car just to get the paint to match.
THATS A DAMN SHAME BUT IM GLAD U ARE OK NOLAN
GLAD U WERE ABLE TO CLUTCH THE WHEEL
Looks like the overall damage is the fender and lights. Doesn't seem to be any structural damage and the hood and door escaped any damage. Waiting on Grundy's appraiser to come out and determine costs to repair. Couldn't ask for better natured or good looking Police. The team that arrived and wrote up the accident report were two late 20, early 30 women that could have graced any magazine. Later a big motorcycle cop showed up and talked with the girls then came over to me and said "I'm going to need your car keys", as I was reaching for them he said with a SEG,"I'll be back in about an hour".
That was a great line...

And the better looking of the two (the tanned blonde) jumped in with motorcycle cop and roared off into the sunset. I could bearly hear him shout "I'll be back." They were last seen cruising South Beach.
Sorry to hear about the ouch!
Damn, Nolan. This is the second mishap, isn't it?
Well im glad your OK.. but that is very repairable.. the biggest hold up will be the cureing time needed to allow the reglassed areas to gas off and cure out, before it can repainted and matched.. which a good paint man can do even on metalflake
Nolan ...glad youre A Ok ...Not too bad of a fix
Glad your ok Nolan. That is not what anyone wants to have happen. Glad it wasn't worse for the car and most of all that you were unhurt.
Bill
