I was trying to find somewhere that still made the old, traditional country code plates, mandatory a few years back, and now - almost obsolete?

Still, I think it looks just awesome on a classical car, and wanted to find one to put on my speedy - and it simply wasn't an easy task - especially if you come from a less common country.

You can find vinyl stickers - but it jusn't doesn't create that vintage look, so I kept looking.

Finally, I found:
http://www.licenseplates.tv/flag-platesoval-ids-23.html

# embossed grade aluminum; painted raised area to replicate the original old world manufacture.
# white background oval plate with border and identification letter(s) painted black. The black painted areas are clear-coated for durability.
# Easy mounting with peel-and-stick adhesive backing.
# Weather resistant.
# Dimensions are 4.63 inches (height) x 6.75 inches (width) at maximum vertical and horizontal points.

I would still, however, forego the adhesive and use somesort of hardware, again, it adds to the vintage look, and I'd say it is more permanent.

I thought this could be of use to others, so decided to post it here.
If you know more places that have this item, let everyone know.
Please indicate if metallic or vinyl.

Kudos to mangosmoothie for rekindling the idea, and the friendly reply to an email I sent! :)
