My Intermeccanica convertible 'D' use to run hot when I purchased it, and it drove me absolutely crazy! It has a 10"- 11" square oil cooler with a 9" fan mounted in the drivers rear fender well. On hot days it was running around 210 to 220 degrees and then I flipped out and tore the old fan off, thus I found it has seized due to improper installation (shims).
Purchased a new fan and tested it out on a 92 degree day pushing the car hard and even red lining it! I couldn't even move the temperature gauge pass the center mark which means on a VDO gauge = about 195 degrees! Problem solved - period!
