Here's the question.......stock block ( with 85.5 barrels) has 82 mm stroker crank ( currently 1883 cc's) Can I put any larger barrels in the 85.5 case........or does the case "HAVE" to be milled....I do know I would have to either change or mill the heads.....will the case take.....86, 87, 88 etc barrels without cut base in the case?

Wolfgang is right and if I'm not mistaken you can also use 87 mm without machining (for a total displacement of 1949 cc); that way you get thicker cylinder walls for better heat dissipation and longevity. If you're going to bore the case anyway, the 90.5's seem to be a popular choice because they keep the thicker walls (same as the stock 85.5's). That will give you a total displacement of 2,110 cc's. From that, if you want to go higher go to the 94's and skip the 92's (same wall thickness issue). That will give you a total displacement of 2,275 cc's (a monster!!).
