For years I used to judge in two concours events in Palm Springs,
It was very mis-managed and the guy who ran it was a dick, but the location was great and it was a fun weekend....looks like it was brought back a few years ago....
Are any of you guys up for either a run on Saturday or Sunday
Sunday has a car corral for clubs that we could possibly get on the field at the golf course...
Check out the link below.....

I am interested. There is a great ride on HWY 74 over the mountain to Palm Desert. It is a long way from your house to do a 1 day run. I would do a over nite Sat/Sun or one day maybe. Lets get something together. The OC group could meet at Ortega Hwy/ 74 in San Juan Capistrano. It is a great run all the way to Palm Desert. Lots of twisties, great views going east from Hemet over the top to the desert!
NEWS FLASH. KERSWILL PUMP MISSING PRESUMED STOLEN!!!
As you will recall the Kerswill pump was confiscated as evidence from Dr. Kamvara on trial for the insemination of Octomom. During the ongoing trial he has stated that after minor modifications it had become his instrument of choice. Judge Ito, the Hollywood show trial judge, recently allowed the Kerwill pump to be removed from evidence and loaned for display purposes to the Palm Springs Concours. (He is reportedly devastated, thinking that this incident could ruin his career.) The TSA has closed the border to Mexico, placed surveillance on all land, (Salton)sea and air travel from the area. The terrorist Threat Level has been raised to LAVENDER! Anyone with information about this national threat is asked to contact them immediately.

Vince-nice images. McQueen also has a black Speedster, a '58 I think.
Saw it at the 1st annual "Friends of Steve McQueen" event at Boy's Republic in Chino last year (2nd annual sched. June 6, 2009). Also, saw a vintage look-alike Bullitt-had a tweed coat draped over the driver's seat, which I got to admit gave me pause for reflection.
Oops-add:

Speaking of that Vince, in the latest Hot VW there's a pretty nice looking blonde with a sweet purple 67 Ghia vert. It's not as nice looking as yours though. And I'm not blowing sunshine up your ass.

Just out of curiosity - what were your thoughts on that Alfa C8? The older black Alfa was gorgeous no doubt, (I've always loved Alfas) but I was wondering if the C8 was a pretty in person as it is in pictures.
