My reservations are locked in for the 11th at the Ocean Palms in Carlsbad. Musbjim to find me & Sandy at the airport on Friday afternoon. I have driven on the smooth roads of Arizona, but never in a sports car. I am really looking forward to crusing with the left coasters and visiting Palm Springs for the first time. And, not having frost heaved roads to navigate is just a plus. I havn't been to CA in 12 years and we were never south of Mission Viejo. A little over two weeks and the adventure begins.

Musbjim & Ginny are definitely in. I'll gather Marty and his beautiful wife, Sandy, in Sandy Eggo on Friday and get them settled in Carlsbad, and maybe some great Mexican food and margaritas to take the edge off after flying cross country.

The weather this week in SoCal has been awesome and the 80 degree temps are expected to continue through the weekend. Hopefully we'll have more of the same on the cruise to P.S.

We'll ask the hotel if they have a 'Cone-of-Silence' we can rent! bwaaaaaaa haa
This is what I got...
So it looks like I need six rooms so far...
I have 1/3 bedroom condo, and 2/2 bedroom condo's....
So it appears that I have a bedroom left at this time...
I will wait to try and fill that last room and give you the numbers of what each will owe...I'll devide the number by 7 rooms whether your a single or double (right seater)

After working our way through the infamous Ortega Hwy and then through the desert town of Hemet, we will be cruising through some elevation on the Palms-to Pines hwy. Here is a re-posting of the route we're taking.

Here is a post from the 356 Club's annual event on this route (somehow they make their pictures of this excellent venue look boring)...

Here is the result....
I have a 3 bedroom condo for 1 night the 12th...
I have 2 2 bedroom condo's that I had to take for 2 nights 12th and 13th...so if any of you want to stay an extra night, then you will need to be placed in one of the 2 bedroom units...
the total per bedroom based on the 6 already taken is 100.00 per night, for those wanting to stay an extra night, we can adjust the rate.....If we fill the last bedroom or have additional occupants on the Murphy beds then the price goes down based on the number of final occupants and number of nights...
Does everyone understand this or do I need to send Guido to your house and explain the number system.

According to the weather forecast on Intellicast, it looks like the probability of rain will peak on Wednesday Dec 9th (60% in Hemet at base of Thomas Mountain) and decrease significantly by Friday Dec 11th. (20%). The weather is significantly drier on the East side of the 5,000ft peak of Thomas Mountain on Palms to Pines Hwy. The probability of rain in Palm Springs on Frid Dec 11th is 10% with mostly clear skies

We should have a better picture of the Dec 12th weekend weather for that area by this Friday Dec 4th.

I have a feeling it won't be raining on our cruise, but it will be pretty cool at 60 degrees (by SoCal standards) especially at the higher elevation of Thomas Mt.

Either way, we're still game...
Bill, this group is brutal....anything that makes you stand out will be picked on, but it's all in fun.....just show up and enjoy the fun.

I cancelled one of the 2 bedroom condo's at the last minute just in case anyone chooses to bail (Gerd)...I still have 5 bedrooms and two murphy beds, so we have room for seven couples/singles..the price went down to 400.00 divided by the number of cars/couples/singles..
no worries...
