I have owned this car now going on six years I will do my very best to give you a list of what has been done and the new parts that come with this car. The car was originally taken apart about a year ago brought to my friends body shop here  in key west Florida where it was taken down to just the fiberglass body and pan all bodywork was completely done on the car and the car is color was change from faded red to beautiful black. Three coats of primer three coats of black and three coats of clear later as you can see in my pictures this car is a mirror. Here is a list of all of the new parts that I have done on the car and please understand there are so many that I literally may have forgotten parts that do come with it.

All new trim on the car including all fasteners this means bumper trim, side trim, underneath the door trim, all new emblems, all new badges. the car has got a brand new wiring harness in it all new complete headlight assemblies With stainless steel mesh headlight covers.directional assemblies with grills, rear tail light assembly‘s license plate assembly, brand new wheels, rims and tires. brake master cylinder, all new brake lines, brand new steering box, brand new gas tank with sending unit, brand new speedster gauges, original Porsche 356 Dash emblem, complete new pedal assembly, new clutch cable new throttle cable, sound deadening material brand new carpet kit, brand new seats with brand new slider assemblies, brand new door panels, brand new complete top assembly with side curtains, top, and new top bows with hardware, brand new dual 45 Webber carbs set up brand new pertronix electronic ignition, new tuneup, valves just adjusted, silicone valve cover gaskets.

As I said there might be things that I am forgetting but basically this car has had everything replaced. It was intended to stay in my family for years to come but unfortunately something has come up with my father, and as much as I love this car my family is more important to me. I have included some pictures but I have many many more if people are interested please private message me and I will do what I can. I have a clean clear Florida title in my name. Many people have asked me how I know that it is in original I am car when there are  as I said there might be things that I’m forgetting but basically this car has had everything replaced. Many people have asked me how I know that it is an original IM car.  I spoke at length with Alan about this, apparently the previous owner that I bought the car from in West Virginia also had the car painted and when they did they stripped off every single solitary tag and everything. But I have stamped on the rear deck lid hinges is inter-mechanical and I have all of the old gauges and switches and all of them are engraved with the letters IM and a number on it showing that they were all original intermeccanica.

Thank you Jethro, I appreciate the good words. My dad has lived a very long and quite amazing life, and he was just diagnosed with early onset dementia as well as prostate cancer. So I am trying to liquidate multiple things so I can help with the cost of his care and possibly close my business for a while to go back to Massachusetts to be with him for a little bit. If my dad wasn’t sick the plan was to have this car in my family for the next 50 years

The engine with the performance heads, bigger pistons and such I believe last I checked it was a 1915cc motor.  And I was told that it has the freeway flyer transmission in it as it is a four-speed standard and I have had it up to 85/90 miles an hour on the highway down here at about 3200 RPM. Front disc brake conversion with drums in the back

Vlad, I apologize for misspelling your name, and frankly the poor grammar of my reply. Auto correct stinks. To answer your question, Alan Merklin gave me his expert opinion and believes my asking price is a great deal at low to mid 20’s. Bodywork is perfect, as the pictures show, plus it comes with everything...just needs to finish being assembled. When it’s done. It’s easily $30-35k and up car.

as I said, family is more important, otherwise it wouldn’t be available.

Thank you for looking at my post, and your kind words.

Just want to say thank you to everybody who has sent me private messages or nice messages on here. I have had a lot of questions about the car, so  I will do my best to answer them. The only thing this car that has not been replaced are the major suspension components, transmission and engine. The engine has a full tuneup along with brand new carburetors installed. High-capacity alternator. But frankly everything else in the vehicle has been replaced with new parts.  the weatherstripping, all new emblems and badging, all the chrome trim.  Every light switch has been replaced, brand new wiring harness, new steering gearbox, brand new brake master cylinder and brake lines, brand new wheel cylinders in the rear, brand new pedal assembly. All new cables, carpeting is brand new, door panels are brand new, all handles are brand new, seats, brand new convertible top with side curtain windows and frames, brand new convertible top bow, with all new snaps. Like I said just about everything on this vehicle is brand new. If I can answer any other questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

thank you again for everything, and don’t be afraid to make me a reasonable offer.

Jake's IM is one of those deals that comes up not all too often it's an absolute super deal as the majority of the work is ...done !  Consider the monetary cost of body work and paint alone...and it's Done !    So, to peek interest …. if someone buys it and would like to have me finish it here in West Virginia,  my winter labor rate would be yet another deal to the buyer.
