There already is a list of emblem suppliers; how about one for parts?

Would be fantastic if there could also be an indication of part quality (ie, OEM, NOS, high-quality repro, low-quality repro) on the parts available, along with the price indication.

Discount for quantity possibility??

Thanks in advance!

Last parts I purchased from Klasse356 actually came shipped from Stoddard. High quality OEM or good repro of Porsche parts - so don't look for a VW starter there. Pelican is also good Porsche source - http://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog/shopcart/356M_catalog.htm

VW parts are more variable in price - I frequent CIP1 and CBPerformance but there are others too. You may get a crappy Chinese part and have to eat return shipping but at least you can return it.
Wolfy,

Ed Rutherford, the new owner of Klasse, lives locally here in Grass Valley. He's expressed a desire to work with the replica community. Call him and tell him what you need. More often than not he'll be able to supply it. He restores 356s as well and is a walking encyclopedia.
Recently I needed rebuild kits for my Webers. None of the NorCal locations had them on hand. Ed did and they were less than ordering from the big parts stores.
He also carries Brad Penn and Swepco oil.
Pedro,

Long, long ago I used to work in the Auto repair and parts business. There are many vendors that sell the exact same item in a different box or brand under a different name all made by the same factory. It is the same with reproduction 356 Porsche and VW Parts. Usually if you stick with one vendor and build a relationship with them your overall price will be just about the same on average.

I agree with Terry Ed is a very good guy to work with and I have parts incoming from him now that nobody else had. Ed will stash stuff no longer sold by others because he knows the cars and what sells. I did however talk him out of the last set of wedge bases for the 58/59 cars he had only because I have a set of originals that need re-chromed. He discounted the price of the new reproduction bases by 50% and took the old ones in on trade. Not many other vendors would do that.

Good luck!
