Al,

I have a CMC and the Engine Deck Lid on my car is "Weather Striping", common in design and can be located just about anywhere.

As for the "Tear Drop" Tail Light Rubber Gaskets; I just ordered a set for a Porsche and they are "Close" but incorrect. My car appearntly has some type of "Knock Off" Tear Drops and the lens fits however the internal portion with the bulbs/sockest assembly is different in configeration. The gasket has an outer lip for the lens and an inner lip for the internal Bulb/socket assembly. (Porsche Lights are appearntly slightly different"

From my brief research, most of the cars are close but all are different and the replacement components are slightly different and some "Massaging" is necessary. About the only thing that fits or is correct are the VW Componets. If you would like the part number for the Porsche Gaskets, let me know.(They require modification and cost about $40.00 Set)

Good Luck,

Jack Blake
For the bonnet (hood) seal, just get very thin (1/4") generic rubber "D" seals from Auto Zone or Pep Boyz. The stuff with the adheasive bottom side. On the engine compartment, do not put weatherstripping there at all. Get several buttons to keep the two surfaces from rubbing. You could use 6 one inch strips of the "D" seal strategically spaced around the lid. Basically you want the space between the deck lid and the body to vent, allowing more air in the engine compartment.
