Parts left over from build

Well, They are taking up space:

- Vintage style Tach (Brasil) $75
- Vintage style Speedo (in-op, makes noise) $25
- Bumper trim (complete NOS)
- Seat foam complete (free, you pay shipping)
- Seat cover kit complete $40

I am in line behind George on the seat covers - color matters to me as well.

Interested in the tach, speedo and a price on the bumper trim...

The seat covers are the standard black vinyl. I will verify that I have the rear tonight.

I am going leather as well and need the patterns also - maybe make patterns and pass it on?

Dale, I'll show you Alante vinyl (I have sample card set) at the Pumpkin Run, the material is as close to leather as you can get. I had VS do Alan Hais's speedster interior with it.

If you want to stay with Leather I can get you a pretty good industry discount on a couple nice hides. Spinneybeck makes a match for Porsche.

I am trying to go a bit off the normal track and use some vintage leather for a
distressed/old patina look. Not sure if it will work, but plan on giving it a shot.
So - I guess what I need is anybody's cast off Vintage style covers to use as a pattern.
I have the wider upgrades seats - don't have the holes in the back.

I will be getting rid of my CMC speedster seats.

I have the patterns at the shop that did my interior. He simply traced the patterns on clear plastic with a sharpie to save my covers. Or I can copy the covers and post the patterns up (CAD/PDF's) Check out my seats on my build post.

I think the standard is for the upholsterer to add the seam material. So the exact shape should be traced out. no?

Eric I think the builder adds the piping, etc. I plan to put the seat warmers in. I will buy you covers or a set of patterns from you if you will throw in the foam.

Wk\aht kand of prices can you get on the skins? I think that two should do the seats and the rear?

You can have the covers for 40 bucks and the foam for free. All you need is to buy the seat shells and fasten the covers to the shell. FYI the foam is nearly 20 years old. I opted to have my upolsterer to copy the foam shape with new foam.

The piping is all stiched already. Consider the CMC covers as prefabed upolstery. I have been busy the past week or so, but I will grab them out of storage and snap some pictures for you.

i have these seats (fiberglass not plastic) if anyone is looking for a reference.

they fit the CMC foam / (and presumably the upholstery) nicely. you'll have to cut the holes in the back though.

Still have the bumper trim?

Eric or anyone....I need a couple of small bits of the chrome trim strip that goes along the body of the car from front to back. First piece is about 2" long, square at one end and pointed at the other for the end of the whole strip on the left side and the second piece is about 1 3/8" square at both ends and fits just aft of the door handle on the right side. Anyone have'em or a source for them ? Thanks.

Eric, you didn't put a price on the bumper trim. I may be interested in the front piece. Mine got bent in storage.

David, I bought the trim pieces from IM. I don't know if what they used in '83 is the same as what is used by them now. I suggest you check with Henry to be sure what you get matches what is on the car. Different manufacturers use different trim.

I showed where the missing bits used to be on my car to Henry at Carlisle and he casually said there might be one somewhere in New Mexico and perhaps the other just outside of Amarillo. :-) He said good luck finding relacements....

You may want to replace all the trim with new pieces from Henry.

When I got mine he made the pieces before and after the door handle the exact lengths I needed on each side.
