What parts are vw in a speedster replica?
I know is all relative and there is no straight answer to that, but some kind of idea, and also know that it also depends on the vendor but I found a few bodies that are manufacturer "unknown" so some research has to be done to put together

this is what I know

pan (that needs to be shortened)
engine and all mechanical parts
master cyl and all brake components (fluid reservoir?)
what about:

* ignition switch
* signal lights switch
* steering column
* seat tracks / rails on pan are not used right?
* door locks and handles in and out
* headlights (they look similar to early bug, are they the same?)
* hood hinges, locks, trunk hinges, locks etc

is there a list somewhere?

thanks

That sounds like a question that would be tough to answer for individuals building their cars as there is likely a smattering of this and that governed by availability.

The main commercial builders probably do have a list of preferred parts based on performance and avaiability and may include reproduction items true to original castings...

Then there's the one-off builds where some stuff is VW, part NASA and mostly money disguised as car stuff.

My little car came with Ghia discs in front, but in all seemed pretty Vintage VW. Although my turn signal/high beam arm is either aluminum or something and I have no idea what it is off of (sorry about the prepositional faux pas, but this about replicas)
VS has stock seat tracks.

Signal light switch on VS is brazil beetle switch.

headlights are cheap VW Beetle reproductions. Better ones are made. There are lots of variations in quality.

Steering column in my VS is the donor cars original.

wipers and wiper motor Mexican Beetle I believe.
