I just spoke to Theron at length. He is well but extremely busy with work and suffering from lack of sleep. He has made apologies for being unable to get things moving for Paso.

I am currently working on it. I have contacted the Adelaide Inn and they are blocking out rooms and will give us a rate (more later). I am contacting restaurants to set up a dinner Saturday evening and a breakfast on Sunday. A winery tour is also being planned for Friday afternoon for the early arrivals. Also, I am trying to get some 'alternate' activities established in the event the weather does not cooperate. Keep in mind that bad weather that date only looks like a 10% chance and that is evidenced by history plus the OUTDOOR antique festival planned for the park.

The only thing that has not been locked down is the use of the park on April 26. I am discussing that now with the Paso DownTown Commission. I will have a firm answer by Monday afternoon or Tuesday. At that time I will lock down all other plans and make an announcement here on the forum. Theron will establish an attendance poll then so we know who is coming.

Thanks Dusty!

Steve says that if it rains, the lovely Miss Sharon can ride with him in the cabby - top up, heater on, bun warms kickin' - in complete comfort.

I apparently, am to wear a hefty garbage bag whilst driving the spyder. Maybe I'll get a "bedazzler" and create a smashing ensemble.

Okay, I got home and did a quick inventory of items to make the Paso drive. Looks like I have a stock of Hefty Contractor grade garbage bags. This are the big ones and are extra thick. I've also located by snorkel and goggles. I might look a little funny, but that's nothing new... I will however be DRY!

See ya there!

Yeah, this is the first week of "Winter" here in the Southland....

30's nites/upper 40's/lower 50's days this week (delete 10 degrees for Lane's house, up there in the "North"), the un-official start of "Winter" - the time to work on your car in the garage...I just pulled my axles to get them rebuilt...My big "Winter" project....

Next week, nite and day temp goes up 10 degrees each - start finishing up those "Winter" car projects...Winter's drawing short!

The following week, nite and day temp goes up another 10 degrees each - You can venture out topless during the day, just be sure you're not far from the house at sunset...

The following week we're back in the 70's and 80's so who the hell cares??? Summer's back!!!!

I love the Southland!!!!
