Every now and then, you may find something in your Speedster that the previous owner/builder could have done a bit better,,, well, today was my turn !! In removing the interior door panels,, I found that someone had EPOXIED on the handles !! With a bit of hot-air gun, and judicious tapping and prying, I managed to get the drivers side off. But allas, the passenger side refused to relent,,, and I had to pull out the heavy artillery. While attempting to split off the old handle with (you guessed it), a large nut-splitter, the epoxied old handle said "no way",, and the spline shaft said "snaaaaappp" !! And I said $#&*!#^% !!!

So anyone got a spare unit for sale ?? Hopefully someone who is headed for Carlisle ??? In the meantime,, a small pair of visegrips on the stub of the old spline shaft, will give my interior that "mechanical trim" appearance !!
