We are working on a VW pan IM ,
the floor pans have a few sections that have rotted thru because it sat outside for years ,
it is just the low spots where the water sat …
What is the best way to replace the pan section from the pedal area backwards to the battery area ( where a stock VW would have the battery)
I would rather not separate the body from the floorpan.
since the pan needs to be shortened anyway , I was thinking of unbolting the outer pan bolts and cut along the tunnel edge , then section the new pan half sections to fit the the bolt holes and spot weld on the tunnel lip…
Any other ideas ?
