Pebble Beach

Hi All, Madeline and I, WILL be making making a foray onto the Left Coast for some "adult" time during Concours Week at Pebble in August. We have accomodations in Carmel for that week. We would love to hook up with some of the West Coast friends if possible. Will anyone be around?

We will probably be in the Monterey/Carmel area in August for the Historic Races (in whatever form the race evolves into). We'll make plans for the Pebble Beach event as well. It would be a blast to hook up with you while you're on the West Coast. I'll forward more details as the date draws near. WooooooHoooooo!!

Hey, Jimbo, I would love to see you in your "natural" habitat. I hope that you'll make it to Carlise in May. Matt and I are already booked and signed up for the events. We'll trade cell #'s and hook up.

Anything is possible......Pebble Beach concours is something I have always wanted to do but have never done and I live 200 miles away.........maybe the new IM-6 will need a drive then........;-)

Dave, It would be a pleasure to see you and your new ride. Hopefully it will be done for the summer season. Has Henry given you an ETA for possible delivery?

My son & I will be in Monterey & Carmel Tuesday 8/10 through Sunday 8/15. I know the area fairly well, since we have a time share in Carmel (I will also be there for 2 weeks in June working the US Open)
I can certainly recommend several good restaurants. Car-wise, we will be in a Hertz Rental (sigh)

Howard, Dave Tom, El Guapo, et al. The Blue Bus will be at the Pre-Historics/"New Monterey" Historic races and cool car events that happen in August. As time goes on we can make a plan and hopefully even more SOC members will have a campfire/ bull session like last year. Rick Jiloty is a regular and Barry Schmidt usually shows up. Be there or be square!

Hey Will It would be good to see you again. For untold reasons, haven't gotten back to Vancouver for the BBQ run. I remember what a good time we had, and the beautiful car you bought. Hopefully we can pull it together in Pebble.

Mary and I will be at the "prehistorics" most likely on Saturday, August 7th (they run Saturday/Sunday - and last year we joined Barry, Speedster Replica friends Wil and Jim/Ginny) - and participating in the 'Pacific Grove Rally/Concours' on Friday, August 13th....with our 550 Beck Spyder....(some photos of the events are at www.spydersite.shutterfly.com) - RickJ

the historic race part of the weekend is 'under new management' and the pre-historic weekend is especially subject to radical change...and a 'real' ticket price (we used to get in for $0 or an $8 admission to the park.....this year looks like $50 or $15 if you're holding a ticket to the next weekend's races)....

I am a little apprehensive about how this year will go. I am going for the whole thing, but after last year it may be a let down. You can't beat Monterey and the area for a cool experience though. See you guys there!
