PGO Speedster ????

Do anyone know anything or have any experience with PGO Speedsters?

I just went there and I am impressed. Mid engine. 16 valves. 136 hp. McPherson. Dual rear grill. An article in Playboy!

Nice looking. I like the beehive taillights. If I ever have to repaint/redo the \body , I'm going to have those.

I plan to visit the factory next year. They have just announced the (even more) sportier version of the Speedster II at the Paris autosalon. That car is not on the website yet but I've seen some pictures and it looks very nice. I heard they had some problems with the cooling of the new engine though. I've also bought a (little) bit of stock in the company (you can do that on Euronext Paris) but that's not going to well at the moment.

I've found three PGo models on the Internet. The 356 Classic, Speedster II and a Speedster RSR. Does anyone if these cars are being sold in France. Are these going to be available in the US? Can JPS or Vintage create a vehicle that resembles the PGO Speedster II or Speedster RSR?

This came up before. Bear in mind that the drivetrain is French - not exactly a recommendation for performance or reliability.

I tried to drop these guys a note about pricing but, to no avail. Anybody heard what things are running.

Me too. They replied with an email in french, and an attachment that took about an hour to download (in a format my computer does not recognize). Oh well, I was just asking to know anyhow...
