For those of us smugly thinking we're not old yet, consider this current Wikipedia entry:

"...A payphone (alternative spelling: pay phone) is typically a coin-operated public telephone, often located in a telephone booth or in high-traffic outdoor areas, with prepayment by inserting money (usually coins) or by billing a credit or debit card, or a telephone card..."

What the actual heck?!?

I'm 58. I couldn't run up a flight of stairs if I was being chased by a bear.

You made me think of My uncle of blessed memory who was in Sicily in the second war of the world… he said when the bombing raids came he found out just how much flexibility increased with the thought I have to get into that culvert NOW!

If you can get down to your weight when you got married, which for most of us would be shedding quite a few pounds you would be surprised how much more one can move and just be generally more active.

Geez you kids today with smart phones and fancy gadgets. We used to use 2 tin cans and a string. Today I got a smart phone that's smarter than me, hell I can't remember how to answer it when it rings. And Alan, I wish I was 71 again, back then I was driving my 356, touring Europe and feeling my oats. Today at 82 I drive a JCW Mini because my knees wouldn't let me get in the 356 anymore, trying to remember what I went into the garage for, and the highlight of my day is checking the mailbox.
