This is a photo I took of a photo taken by Jesse Alexander in the Porsche garage before the 1959 24 Hour of LeMans. Mr. Alexander was one of the outstanding photographers of road racing in the 50's and 60's. He didn't glamorize the sport or the cars and as a result, his images are realistic and enduring....Note the boys standing in the doorway of the garage. The original photo is copyrighted by Mr. Alexander and I am posting my image of his image only to provide an historical perspective on the cars we drive.
