Anybody running these with wide 5's that could post a photo of what they look like on a car?
They come from Aircooled.net, part #6116-15.

They remind me of nipple hub caps that are excited to see you, Bob.

Hey buddy, it's been a while. Still no car.
My concern with those center caps and chromies is that you're still going to have little triangles of the brake drum appear between the 'wide 5' pattern and the trapezoid shaped flanges of those sand rail center caps.
If you look at the sand rail center cap, the flanges spread out on the bolt holes, and then taper back a bit to the center. This is the opposite of the wide 5 pattern.
I think you will end up with funky triangles opposite each bolt hole.

Maybe I'm wrong, or I don't understand the look you're going for.
Just my twp pennies.

That would be ugly!!!!
I have to agree...
But not as bad as my half asssed attempt at photoshopping them together.
OUCH!
Those centers came on five spoke Jackman dune buggy wheels. Check out an old Hot VW's magazine.
Go for Fibersteel Wheelskinz! They don't seem to list them any more on their web site though. I think Beck carries them though.
Bob runs 4 to 5 lug adapters on two of the four wheels of his car. The wheel skins are his ultimate goal, however the adapters keep him from doing so.
In the end, I suspect Bob will bite the bullet and update his rear end to allow for the use of said skins.
I think I have that right, Bob? What say you?

The thought of updating my rear end is just frightening. However, I may do something with the back of the car.
Actually, I am working on a scheme to use shorter lug bolts and flatter nuts, and that may make drumskins work.
Fibersteel has two active websites as they transition to the newer of the two. The drumskins appear on the new site, or at least they did a couple weeks ago.
