Hey Jim,
You look like that guy from Jon & Kate Plus Eight when you were a youngster.
"My old O.P. cruising hat! Needed something to cover my bangin' 'fro
so that I didn't get pulled over by any more cops than usual when driving the P-car!"
Wow, Jim...
It's saddens me that someone as jovial and kind-hearted as you would have experienced that kind of treatment.
The hat is very cool.

Marty - without the hat I looked more like Billy Preston ('60s drummer).
Terry - we live in a fairly affluent neighborhood in Orange County. Back in the day ('70s/'80s) when I would cruise whatever P-car I owned at the time (and sporting my 'fro), I had been pulled over by the cops more than a handful of times, and once at gun-point! I guess they thought someone looking like me (and driving a relatively new Porsche) through said neighborhood seemed out of place. The typical reason the cops gave '...you match the description of a suspicious person reported in the neighborhood'. Bwaaaaaa haaaaaaaa
Someone once said...'the best revenge is living well'!
Peace - Out!

Are we still talking about Gerd's outlaw?
Hey Gerd come on up to Sacramento September 6th and bring your new coupe.

Jimbo,
That pic is classic man, frickin classic. :)

Gerd who? I'm still having nightmares from the baby with the ninner.
Mickey - I'm trying to find my old pics with the various Porsches I've owned through the years. The kids always get a good laugh outta seeing my different stages of 'fro'ness! I'll post as I find them.
Back on track - I'm looking forward to seeing Gerd's coupe once it's completed. It promises to be an uber cool machine.

Have any of you guys seen this?

Oh yeah! Somebody posts a picture of that every few months and we all get stiffies.
Here's Gerd practicing at Laguna Seca. Or maybe it's his twin brother. Oh no, not two Gerd's. The world couldn't take that. Actually, it is Michael Sweeney of Portola Valley, CA at the Pre-Historics in his 1959 Coupe. I just worked on the color a bit.
Cool job, Warren!

So what happened to the pink pimpmobile? A change of heart, maybe color blindness?
Looks good, Gerd, glad to see you wheeled properly.

He sent the pink paint this way and I repainted mine.

Lane, that is butt ugly. Vince wouldn't even cruise in that. Well maybe?
OK Vince, here you are.

Pink. ... It looks good on diner stools, old Caddies and tiny little leather skirts.
Not so much on a Speedster or coupe.
I move that we fine Lane $36.00 every time he posts that picture from here on out.
Do I hear a second?

I will second that motion, and I am a girl and I like pink, but not on the beloved speedy.
One of the nicest cars I ever saw was in 1969 at the NY Custom Car Show...light pink '34 Ford chopped and channeled roadster with all trim done in a unique copper finish, the car was striking and so was the 5'2" well endowed blonde owner.
...I guess I'll have to borrow the car my mom uses for her Mary Kay sales...

Judge, I also move to fine El Guapo. I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.
I need to go blow something up.
