picked her up earlier today. disregard the lack of caps on the wheels. it had porsche crest caps but one fell off-- then we went back and kirk put it back on.. then another one fell off.. so we went back again. that happened three times then the last one fell off as we were leaving again. he is sending me regular baby moons. i wish the porsche crest ones didn't fall off.

anyway. she's very pretty and i am nearly competent at driving a standard after a few hours of driving around.

i don't know why the badge says 1600. it should say 1915.

well the four that were on it are ruined now from falling off the various times that we left the shop. they're all with kirk now. i will ask my boyfriend to put the new ones on. that way when they fall off i can blame it on him. =)

Nice ride Andoliese!

Here's where to find a terrific fitted speedster cover for the 356A. Provide them with a photo of your single fender mounted mirror and they'll custon a pocket into the cover...that's how neat and snug their product is.

Be cautious with 'come on' ploys that specify "Fitted"!! I initially went cheap and the thing looks like a collapsed parachute...so embarrassing!

i will keep my eye out for an upcoming run. i'd like to see everyone else's cars.

i don't know how you guys deal with excited (annoying sometimes) people in traffic when there is a group of you. it must be quite a scene.

so far i am having a lot more fun driving this thing around deserted streets late at night than i am driving it around during the day. was with my roommate and stupidly got stuck in some traffic on hollywood blvd on thursday--- probably 25 people took pictures during one stop at a red light. another set of people in a car on melrose followed parallel to us in their vehicle while recording video. every stop light is an opportunity for whoever is stopped next to me to talk to me-- mostly men being fresh. and people on the freeway in adjacent lanes pace their cars to mine or drive extremely close behind me.

this is also my first car with a manual transmission which means occasional slow starts from a stop-- which sometimes means honking since everyone in LA is in a huge rush to get to their two hour lunches-- it is slightly nerve racking. but MOST people are honking just to give me a thumbs up or wave at me or ask me a question about the car. my life is non-stop honking now. i hear a honk and think "i didn't even do anything wrong!" and then two people are yelling "woooohooo" at me from a car window. yayyyyy :\ hahah

thanks, bob. i am definitely going to get one. i didn't get home until 4am tonight and i didn't want to pull my noisy car into my garage because some people rent the apartment above my garage and i feel like an asshole. i sat here until 30 minutes ago  basically staring at my car out of my window waiting for the sun to come up so i wouldn't feel like such a jerk driving my car under these people's home.
