I got a 1600cc dual-carb engine. I got the car Monday and it was running ok until today. It did seemed like it was holding back before but today it started to really act up. The car began to make a pinging noise as well as was slow-to-go when accelerating. I was driving slowly for about 30 minutes through neighborhood roads. I was thinking that maybe it was overheated but when I let the car sit for an hour and restarted it, it made the same noise. Do you think this was due to overheating, valves, or what?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
