Plexi Windows 90% Done

Using Joe's Original design for Plexi Windows posted in the knowledge base and with Lanes Phone assistance, I decided to have Plexi Windows done for my car. Joe had offered to help me out but I have super busy with work schedule and I wanted to get this done for the Smokey run in a few weeks.

I had a convertible top and interior guy do most of the fab work. We need to try different pieces to cover the opening where most of the water comes in. The fastener for the full Tonnau(spelling) sticks way out so I am looking for material ideas. Also the rake on the VS side post created some problems. If I ever redo it I would have would have custom side post made. So, what material do you think we can rivet on the bottom corners? It needs to be flexible.

Good, don't use Windex or any amonia product on the polycarbonate.

Only a soft rag with distilled water. Although it's much stronger than acrylic, it can still crack and Windex like products will promote damage.

What about the cleaners made for convertible plastic windows? Can you use a little vinegar in the distilled water?

Marty, read this but DISREGARD where it says that Windex is OK, recent discoveries show that it's not good for polycarbonate

Marty, I used flat rubber that was originally the weatherstripping for the bottom of a storm door. Leon Chupp has offered to make a matching piece from some sort of gel that will be more flexible, and therefore seal better. I think I'm gonna take him up on the offer.

Lane, your front seal is different than mine. Did use the bottom rubber seal on the front too? Does the storm door stripping used do to the other side or is just laying in front?

Yeah, I used the same stuff in both places. It just seemed to work better for me. the flat piece is just overlaying the lower front corner of the window on the outside only.
