plug size for mex.043 heads

once again i find myself in a dilema. talked to the motor guy at VS about my motor (1915 very low CR w/ mex. 043 heads) he said long reach plugs. my local mech. said short reach.
so which one is correct. i have not seen much info about the 043 heads.

I had to swap the spark plugs on my new VS and I put in long reach Bosch.
