I’m trying to figure out how to do the pop out windows on my replica coupe. I have original window and frames but nothing else. Anyone know or have any info on this... willing even to buy a new pop out window kit if available..
Thanks

check out Troy's cruzin windows..have them on mine......
Thanks Ray I have the windows you sent minus the the locking part. The question is how do the hinges screw into the fiberglass or is there another steel piece that is in the window Chanel?
So your windows don't have the locking system and are fixed in place? Have you called whoever built your car?
This is a kit I bought from a third party it is a roller no glass or frames on the windows... I’m trying to find out how I can get the pieces I need to install pop out windows. I know some of the replica coupes are installing them but have not been responsive to me . Sierra madre sells the rubber but no hardware frames etc.... inhave a set of windows and frames only .... so far...

You need to know who made the body and then you might be able to get more information on how to insert some type of metal behind the hinges to be able to drill in and have the screws hold into this metal so that the window can operate. I would think it is doable but then it won't be done without some fabrication. Maybe one of the other coupe owners can chime in.

boy I really screwed up..its a coupe, not a speedster,,,sorry guys,, newbie does it again
It looks like JPS has opening quarter windows - see photo. You can see the chrome button in back for the prop-opn lock. Does your window with rubber fit in the opening> If its a good fit - you could grind into the fiberglass and put metal backing plate in for hinge mounting points then re-fiberglass over it.
Hey Newbie Danny,
No apologies, amigo. You already have the most important part of the experience well in hand, since you're trying to help others. The rest will come with time. Relax, man, you'll be an old pro before you know it. Of course, you'll have to change your screen name.
The ad for the light blue JPS coupe I listed above says - REAR POP-OUT QUARTER WINDOWS WITH LATEST STAINLESS STEEL TRIM. I don't think that is OEM Porsche parts - looks more JPS custom (but haven't seen one with the pop-outs in person).
I'd give Greg Leach a call at Vintage Motorcars. He's building a coupe for me with pop out rear windows and I know his coupe has them. He'll know what to do and can probably sell you any parts you lack. A coupe really needs them to get good airflow, especially if you're not doing AC.
Thank you for the info do you have a number for Greg? I appreciate it.

Alfonso, Here's a link to his site. He's a member here, too. Good luck and send pictures, we love to see each other's builds.
Thanks will do....
Ok standing by to see if he can help on this ...
