Hi again, one of my hubcaps is rusting and I am wanting to replace it with a So Cal one. Can someone give me simple to follow instructions on how to pop it off. I was told by using a hanger but not sure about how to do this. A video would be great!

You can also use an L-shaped Allen key and a pair pliers. Although not very gracious, the cap will usually pull off the wheel by putting the short end of the Allen key into one of the holes on the hubcap and yanking it off by holding the longer end of the Allen key with the pliers. That’s the way I’ve always done it, until I found the proper tool hidden up front in the trunk, and thought, oh so that’s what that’s for. LOL
The U shaped hub cap puller is much stiffer than a coat hanger. I bet the hanger part of a plastic coat hanger could be bent and reshaped. It is a heavier gauge steel.
Be an outlaw and don't run hubcaps.
I think Annaliese lost 3 of her 4 hub caps on the ride home from VS.
I slide my hubcap tool onto my 12" crescent wrench and use it for a handle/leverage when pulling my hubcaps off (unlike Annaliese, mine stay on) and I always use a towell or pad to catch the hubcap so they don't get dented when they finally come off, ask me why...
I slide a big phillips screwdriver through the loop of the puller and pry against the tire sidewall.
I think the big hoop end of the original hook was intended to accept the original lug wrench handle and pry against the tire wasn't it ? I remember thing "How clever !".........Bruce

I use a huge flathead screwdriver that I found stuck in front of the cooling shroud on my car when it was delivered. Thanks to whoever on the build team forgot it as it's been very useful.
