Porsche " Wooden" Shifter Knob

I'd love to find a Shifter knob to fit onto my Speedie. One that doesn't cost an arm & a leg. any one have some left over parts out there?

David, I admit that I have now spent way too much on my CMC finishing it up and went cheap on the knob but for the price it'll do the job. The attachment to the shifter is a little cheesey but for $17 plus $3 shipping and 3 colors to choose from.....

It attaches with a plastic cover over the threads and 3 set screws in the knob.

I have a mahogany wood one from years ago that was made by AMCO - you could get it with the Porsche crest or shift pattern in a closinge insert. They made them for all the '60-70 sports cars BUT I haven't seen them in years. Think they were like $14.95. I have occasionaly seen them on ebay as NOS. They threaded on and had a hex set screw. Plus they came in black vinyl/leather-look too.
