Nope. All you have to do is look at the gas filler. Both pics are too far from the windshield edge of the hood. Real ones are half that distance.
Also, in Phil's picture, black wipers, glass windshield, and left side mirror all indicate replica. Is there a gauge pod on both sides of the dash? If so, that's really weird.
Plus, first picture has 4 lug rims and second picture looks like a Beck hood badge.
same car in both photos and it is one of mine.
Great article about the Boss playing East Berlin in 1988. Don’t know if he brought the wall down 16 months later but it sure didn’t hurt. Could these photos have been from 1988. Did the Beck Spyder exist in 1988. Looking at the hood badge these are probably later photos.
That's a very early Gen 2 car, and Gen 2 started in late '88, so while plausible it's not likely the pics are from '88.
FYI 1st Beck Spyder was built in late 1982, and full production started in 1983.
Oh, to be Carey Hines and Hob-Nob with the "Glitteratti".
"Sure, Mr. Boss (may I call you Bruce?) - We can build you a Spyder to match your personality...."

I was sent a link to the video, thankfully.

So I'm reading through this post and thinking, yeah, the Springsteen photo must be after the wall went down because the Brandenburg gate was on the eastern side and the Stasi weren't usually keen on photo ops, even for The Boss.
But I wasn't sure about dates and precise locations, so did some digging on when and just how the wall fell and found this story of a disgruntled Stasi guard who should probably be as famous as The Boss himself, even though he was not born in the USA.
Stasi officer Harald Jager should have received the Nobel peace prize that year.
What a great story!

Very cool. So the pics are from 1995.
According to the video I assume the pictures were taken in 1995 but I don't know what year the car is. I don't know have any information on the car
I'm guessing it's a 1988 to 1995 Beck Spyder, from what Carey said above.
